We don't often put avocados in our smoothies - well, at least I don't. Don't get me wrong; I love green smoothies. And I love avocados. But I often forget about the avocado when it comes to making a smoothie.
I found this smoothie recipe in Extraordinary Health magazine (vol. 24). It's gluten free, soy free, dairy free, Paleo, vegan, and 100% good for your mood. Here it goes:
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop vanilla plant protein (the recipe recommends Garden of Life Organic Plant Protein)
1/4 cup mashed avocado
1 1/2 tablespoons raw honey (or two pitted Medjool dates)
2 large handfuls of spinach or kale
5 or 6 ice cubes
Put it all together:
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth
